IEP Roadmap

IEP Roadmap equips you with the tools you need to advocate for your child at her next IEP team (PPT) meeting. We'll make a FERPA request for your child's complete education records, and review them together to pinpoint specific legal issues that need critical attention. You'll receive a written case review and analysis, with a 90-minute discussion in person or online to develop an action plan for your next big meeting. This service is the perfect way to prepare for your child's annual review or any meeting involving a request for an independent educational evaluation (IEE) or potential change in his educational placement (e.g., a private school setting). 360 Due Process Prep

The 360 Due Process Prep is for parents who have completed their IEP Roadmap but have "hit a wall" in talking with their child's team about changes to the educational program. At this stage, you are preparing for a potential Due Process Hearing. While most cases are resolved before proceeding to a hearing, it's important to be prepared for that possibility. Your attorney will negotiate directly with your school district's representatives, and if necessary represent you in person at an IEP team (PPT) meeting. This service includes preparation of written Request for Due Process Hearing for potential filing with the State Department of Education. Your attorney will discuss the benefits and risks involved in proceeding to a Mediation or Due Process Hearing, so that you can make an informed decision on your next move. Read more ...
